Perkins Gets Involved with Mortensen

From middle position, Carlos Mortensen raised to 4,600. Bill Perkins called out of the cutoff seat and the flop came down {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Mortensen fired a continuation bet of 6,800, but he was met with resistance in the form of a raise from Perkins to 21,000. Mortensen thought for a little bit and then folded his hand, allowing Perkins to take down this pot.

Bill Perkins

From under the gun, the 2001 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Carlos Mortensen raised to 4,000. He found two callers in Bill Perkins and Josh Bergman. Perkins had called from middle position and Bergman in the cutoff seat.

The three players saw the flop come down {J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Mortensen checked. Perkins bet 7,500 and Bergman folded his hand. Mortensen also folded and Perkins won the pot.
