Muur Regains Chip Lead

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Mike McDonald held {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and cut out a raise from the cutoff. Madis Muur called from the button with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and the blinds folded. The flop came down {2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{J-Spades} and McDonald checked. Muur checked it back and the {8-Clubs} hit the turn.

McDonald fired out a bet of 250,000 and Muur stuck around. The {Q-Clubs} fell on the river and gave Muur a winning two pair. McDonald slowed with a check and Muur moved 315,000 forward. McDonald called and then quickly mucked his cards after seeing Muur's two pair.

Muur dragged in the pot and is now back in chip lead with 6.98 million in chips.

Muur tanked for a bit, then slid his cards into the muck.

Srinivasan Flops the Nuts

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Daniel Gamez raised to 130,000 from the hijack with {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and it folded around to Shyam Srinivasan in the small blind. He looked down at {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and flat called. Isaac Baron held {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} in the big blind and came along for the party.

The flop came {K-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}, which gave Srinivasan the nut flush. All three players checked and the {9-Clubs} came off on fourth street. Srinivasan checked again and Baron tossed out 215,000. Gamez flicked his cards to the muck and Srinivasan called.

The river brought the {10-Diamonds}, giving Baron a straight to the king. Srinivasan checked for a third time and Baron moved out 495,000. Srinivasan came right back over the top for 1.4 million and Baron released a pained sigh. He moved his sunglasses to his forehead and wiggled uncomfortably in his seat. Ultimately, he opted to kick his straight into the muck and Srinivasan was pushed the pot.

Muur Flops Top Set

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Dominik Panka raised to 130,000 in early position with {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, Madis Muur called in the small blind with {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, and Daniel Gamez defended his big blind with {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The flop fell {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, giving Muur top set and Gamez a gut-shot straight draw. Both Muur and Gamez checked to Panka, who continued for 190,000. Muur check-raised to 515,000, Gamez quickly folded, and Panka tossed his cards into the muck as well.

Fabian Ortiz Eliminated in 8th Place ($173,220)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Fabian Ortiz - 8th Place
Fabian Ortiz - 8th Place

Fabian Ortiz raised to 135,000 from under the gun. Mike McDonald looked at his cards from the next seat over and cut out a three-bet to 325,000. Action folded back to Ortiz and he announced a four-bet ship all in. McDonald called and the cards were tabled.

Ortiz: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
McDonald: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The two were flipping for Ortiz's tournament life and he looked to improve on the community cards. The {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop did nothing for Ortiz and he was still left searching for an ace or king on the next two streets. Ortiz picked up a few more outs with the {5-Spades} on the turn, but he ultimately did not get there as the {9-Diamonds} completed the board.

Ortiz became the first casualty of the final table and will collect $173,220 in prize money. McDonald scooped up the pot and is now sitting on 7.815 million in chips.
