Boeree Flops a Flush

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Well into the break Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree and Mike McDonald played an interesting pot. Boeree raised to 5,200 from early position and McDonald called from the button.

The flop brought {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Boeree fired out 7,000, McDonald called.

On the turn the {3-Clubs} popped up and Boeree bet 18,000. McDonald tanked for a bit and eventually he made the call.

The river brought the {10-Spades} and this time Boeree checked after which McDonald checked behind quickly.

Boeree quickly showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the ace-high flush and McDonald mucked.

"Aaaah," Boeree said with a wry smile on her face, "I really thought he was going to bet," she added. Nonetheless Boeree picked up a nice pot and she's now sitting on around 230,000 chips.

Crowe Sends Musumeci Home

Amanda Musumeci - Eliminated
Amanda Musumeci - Eliminated

Amanda Musumeci was all in and at risk before the flop for her last 42,500 against Owen Crowe. Musumeci held {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and was racing with Crowe's {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

The flop kept Crowe in the lead after it fell {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, but Musumeci vaulted ahead after she paired up on the {J-Hearts} turn. The table let out a collective gasp, though, as the {6-Clubs} struck the river, giving Crowe a winning set of sixes.

Musumeci made a quick exit from the tournament area and Crowe is now up to about 275,000.

Yan Busts One

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

After a series of raises before the flop, a player was all in for what looked to be around 100,000 against [Removed:17]. Yan held {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and was crushing his opponent's {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. After a runout of {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Yan was able to drag in the pot and bring his stack to around 400,000.

Smith Busts Feenstra with Kings Over Queens

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

From under the gun, Ben Warrington opened with a raise to 6,200 from under the gun, then action folded to Dan Smith in the cutoff seat. Smith reraised and made it 15,300 to go. Play then slid over to Rens Feenstra in the big blind, and he took some time before reraising to 32,000. After Warrington folded, action was back to Smith.

Smith took some time of his own, and then reraised all in. Feenstra snap-called and put his 115,000 or so on the line. Smith had him covered and tabled the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Feenstra had the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, and Feenstra was eliminated. Smith climbed to 340,000.

Tough Fold For Dammert

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

James St Hilaire raised to 6,000 from the under-the-gun plus one position and Edwin Dammert from Germany three-bet to 18,000. Dammert was sitting two seats to St Hilaire's left and the action was quickly folded back to the initial raiser.

St Hilaire tanked for a bit before making it 38,000 and Dammert made the call after about a minute.

The flop brought out {7-Hearts}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs} and St Hilaire bet 29,500. Dammert tanked for about a minute before he bumped it up to 60,000. St Hilaire played around with his chips before eventually moving all in.

Dammert seemed surprised, confused and frustrated all at the same time while he was making up his mind. As the minutes passed Pascal Lefrancois, sitting in between the two players, grew visibly more annoyed before he eventually stated that he was ready to call the clock. At this point Dammert had been playing around with his cards for about six minutes, and ultimately the German folded {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} face up.
