Gregg Over Bhasin

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

The board read {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades} when we found Tony Gregg and Roy Bhasin heads up with about 10,000 already in the pot. Gregg checked fourth street only to have Bhasin fire 7,200 from the button. Gregg thought for a moment before reaching for chips and moving a call out to the middle of the table.

The {J-Spades} hit the river and both players checked, allowing Gregg to table a winning {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} for two pair. With this win, Gregg's stack has hit 110,000 while Bhasin's has dropped to 39,000.

Greenwood Doubles

We found Sam Greenwood pushing all in for 20,200 from the button on a board of {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Two players had checked from early position, and the first one folded. The second player took a couple of minutes of thought before calling. Unfortunately for him, Greenwood had the best possible holding on the board: {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for the nut straight with a flush draw. The early player showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, knowing he was drawing stone dead.

Bad River Card for Oliveira

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

We got to the table with the board showing {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Gorki Oliveira betting 5,500 after Nathan Michael Piche checked. Jason Helder raised to 14,000 and Piche flatted that raise. Oliveria thought for a moment and called as well.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Piche led out for 25,000. Oliveria snap-shoved for slightly less and Helder was just as quick to fold.

"Flush?" queried Oliveira as he waited for Piche to reveal his hand.

It was indeed a flush as Piche had {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Oliveira nodded as he turned over {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a rivered top two pair that was no good.

Sant`Anna Busts Piquette

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

We found Jean-Philippe Piquette all in with {a-}{q-}, but his timing was bad as Jenner Sant`Anna picked up {a-}{k-} and called. The board ran out dry for Piquette, and the Canadian had to call it a day.
