Charette Doubles Through Rettenmaier

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We found Duff Charette all in with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, dominating the {a-}{q-} of Marvin Rettenmaier. The latter was able to grab the lead as {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades} flopped, and a {7-Diamonds} turn was a brick.

"Come on," Charette urged the dealer, and his wish was granted as a {10-Spades} fell to give him a straight. Rettenmaier sent 36,200 across the table.

Helder Makes a Tough Call to Double

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On the river, Jason Helder bet 15,000 from the button and saw his opponent in the small blind put him all in for 44,100. The {4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board was rife with possibilities, and Helder tanked for a few minutes, alternately staring at his opponent and the felt. Finally, Helder called it off, and his opponent quickly flipped {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Helder had made the right read, and his {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, a straight on the river, was good.

Patgorski Keeps Climbing

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Action folded to Ryan Olisar in the small blind and he limped in. Gabe Patgorski raised to 3,000 in the big blind, Olisar called and the flop came down {6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Olisar check-called 3,000 from Patgorski, the {3-Spades} fell on the turn and both players opted to check. Both checked the {7-Diamonds} river as well.

Olisar showed {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, but Patgorski had it beat with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

Fernstrom's Full House Bests Danzer

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We arrived in time to see $11 PokerStars qualifier Ludwig Fernstrom heads up in a hand with Team PokerStars Pro George Danzer. The completed board read {J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and there was roughly 15,000 already in the middle.

Fernstrom fired out a river bet of 7,000, sending Danzer into the tank. After a moment, he tossed out a call to see Fernstrom table {A-Spades}{9-Spades} for a full house of aces full of nines. Danzer instantly mucked his cards and Fernstrom was awarded a pot that brought his stack to about 100,000. Danzer, on the other hand, has dropped to roughly 23,000.

Negreanu Over Mizrachi

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened to 2,300 and found a single call from Robert Mizrachi in the big blind. The two saw a flop of {A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Mizrachi check-called a continuation bet of 3,000.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Mizrachi checked a second time. Negreanu tapped the table back and the {2-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Mizrachi fired 1,000 only to have Negreanu raise the action to 5,500. Mizrachi called but mucked his cards after seeing Negreanu's {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for trip deuces. With this win, Negreanu's stack is up to about 140,000.

Rocco Palumbo moved all in for 36,000 total and Bucinskas tanked for several minutes before letting his hand go. The successful shove moved the Italian up to 76,000 in chips.
