Etcheverry Continues to Roll

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Juan Etcheverry on Day 3
Juan Etcheverry on Day 3

We got to the table with a pot brewing on the turn and the board showing {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. JC Alvarado and Juan Etcheverry had checked out of the blinds to Alex Klimashin who bet 20,000. Alvarado called and Etcheverry check-raised to 78,000. Klimashin called and Alvarado quickly got out of the way.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Etcheverry moved all in for an effective 230,000. Klimashin thought for about a minute and then made the call. Etcheverry turned over {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flopped nut flush and Klimashin slid his cards to the dealer, knowing that he could not beat that hand and that he was also eliminated in the process.

Etcheverry moved above the two million chip mark with that pot as he continues to accumulate chips here on Day 4 after entering the day with the chip lead.

Busquet Doubles Through Ventura

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Small blind Diego Ventura shoved all in when the pot was unopened to him, and Olivier Busquet called with {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. Ventura was dominated with {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} but flopped a flush draw as {2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flopped. An {a-Diamonds} closed out a few outs on the turn, and the {4-Clubs} river was a blank.

Jonathan Duhamel opened to 18,000 from middle position and Carlos Chadha called from the big blind. The flop came {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The turn was the {A-Spades} and Chadha checked to Duhamel who put out a bet of 22,000.

"22?" asked Chadha.

"Yes sir," answered the dealer.

Duhamel sat still, chewing gum slowly, his right leg perched underneath his left. Chadha made the call.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Chadha checked. Duhamel gathered some chips and put them into the middle.

"How much is it?" asked Chadha.

The dealer counted the chips and responded "36."

Chadha thought for a bit, looked back at his cards once, then folded while telling the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion "nice hand."

Sivagnanam Wins Race to Double Up

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ratharam Sivagnanam opened to 18,000 from the button and Ambrose Ng reraised to 75,000 out of the small blind. The big blind folded and Sivagnanam moved all in for 330,000 total. Ng thought for a moment and then quietly said "call" as he turned over {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.
"Hope I flip well," muttered Sivagnanam as he showed his {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and pulled his sunglasses off so he could watch the community cards come.

The board would run out {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{J-Clubs} to give Sivagnanam the double up. "Nice hand," said Ng. "Thank you," responded Sivagnanam as he put his sunglasses back on.

Baumstein Doubles Through Busquet

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Olivier Busquet has some work to do
Olivier Busquet has some work to do

It was folded to Olivier Busquet on the button who opened to 18,000. Scott Baumstein moved all in from the big blind for 124,000.

"124 is the total?" asked Busquet. The dealer confirmed that was the amount.

"Can you pull the 18 in?" requested Busquet. The dealer did so.

"How much?" Busquet said. "106," answered the dealer.

"Call," replied Busquet, flipping over {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Baumstein turned over {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} and stood up, putting his backpack over his shoulder. He wouldn't have to stand long, however, as the dealer put out a flop of {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and no two-outer arrived to send him to the rail. Baumstein doubled up to 260,000 and it is now Busquet riding the short stack with just 120,000 left behind.
