Boukai Three-Barrels Busquet Out

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Big blind Olivier Busquet check-called 40,000 from Rami Boukai, who was under the gun, in a pot of about 60,000 after {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flopped. Busquet checked-called another 100,000 on the {4-Spades} turn. On the {8-Hearts} river, his check led to Boukai shoving all in after some thought. The total looked to be about 290,000, and Busquet had his opponent barely covered.

"Wow," he said, leaning back in his chair. He tanked for a few minutes before folding what he said was two queens, commenting on Boukai's flop sizing. "I guess you have me."

Alvarado Decides to Wait

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

With about 35,000 in the pot, Ambrose Ng checked to JC Alvarado on a flop of {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Alvarado made a bet of 28,000 which was called by Ng.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Ng checked again. Alvarado made another bet, this time for 52,000.

"How much you have behind there?" asked Ng.

"126," said Alvarado softly.

Ng shuffled chips while thinking before announcing that he was all in. Alvarado snap-folded leaving himself with just slightly more than ten big blinds.

Baggio Eliminated By Reilly

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Tim Reilly raised from the cutoff, Tony Baggio three-bet shoved from the button for 158,000 and Reilly called.

Reilly: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Baggio: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, giving Baggio a commanding lead. The {8-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, but the {7-Hearts} gave Reilly sevens full of sixes to score the elimination.

Hawkins "Running Pretty Good," Busts Eldridge

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We found David Eldridge all in for about 70,000 against Maurice Hawkins.

Eldridge: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Hawkins: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop brought {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, nothing for Eldridge.

"Ten for a sweat," Hawkins said.

Instead, it was the {q-Spades}, giving him command and leaving Eldridge with three outs.

"That's not a sweat," Hawkins said. "But I'll take it."

Eldridge missed on the {6-Clubs} river.

"Running pretty good," Hawkins said.

Alvarado Crippled

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Rodrigo Rishmague opened for 23,000 and JC Alvarado moved all in having Rishmague covered by just 9,000 in chips. Rishmague made the call and had Alvarado in bad shape as he held {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} to Alvarado's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The flop was {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} keeping Rishmague in the lead but the turn would be the {8-Clubs} to give Alvarado a set. Rishmague had an open-ended straight draw now and would stay alive with any seven, nine, or queen. He would hit one of those cards on the river as the dealer put out the {9-Clubs} to give him a better set.

Alvarado, his backpack on, would more than triple up on the next hand when he hit a straight with {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades} on a runout of {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. That would be enough to get him to take his backpack off.

Duhamel Done

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jonathan Duhamel forced when his opponent had him dominated.
Jonathan Duhamel forced when his opponent had him dominated.

Jonathan Duhamel raised to 25,000 from the small blind, and Andreas Samuelsson made it 60,000 in the big. The former Main Event champ shoved all in for 293,000, and Samuelsson called.

Samuelsson: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Duhamel: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Duhamel was dominated, but the {4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop gave him a flush draw to improve his equity. On the {6-Clubs} turn, he picked up still more outs, but it did him no good as a {q-Spades} finished his tournament.
