O'Dwyer Doubles Through Charania

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 5,200 from late position and action folded over to Mohsin Charania who three-bet to an unknown amount from the small blind. The blinds released and O'Dwyer flatted to see a flop.

The flop came down {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Charania continued out for 17,500. O'Dwyer called once more, allowing the {Q-Spades} to hit on the turn. Two checks occurred and the {5-Hearts} paired the board on the river. Charania dropped out a stack of what looked to be 55,000. O'Dwyer responded by moving all in over the top for 81,000. Charania gave a shrug and flicked forward calling chips.

O'Dwyer rolled over {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}, allowing Charania to throw his hand into the muck. O'Dwyer scored the double up and now has about 205,000 in chips. Charania, on the other hand, has dropped to 210,000.

Altergott Takes From Busquet

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Max Altergott
Max Altergott

Max Altergott raised to 4,500 from the cutoff, Olivier Busquet called from the big blind and the flop fell {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Busquet check-called 8,000 from Altergott to see the {6-Diamonds} turn where he check-called another 18,000 from Altergott. The {J-Hearts} river completed the board and Busquet checked for a third time. Altergott bet 25,000, Busquet check-raised to 65,000 and Altergott called immediately with {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flush.

Busquet mucked, securing the pot for Altergott.

Welcome to the Sun!

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

PokerNews.com is at the 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure to bring you all the latest poker updates, but there's a lot more than just poker here at the Atlantis Resort. Host Remko Rinkema explored the resort before play started and here's what the beautiful resort looks like this year:

Queens for Both Selbst and Newey

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Vanessa Selbst raised to 5,000 from middle position and Paul Newey three-bet to 15,000 from the next seat over. Action folded through the button and blinds, back to the Team PokerStars Pro who called to see a flop.

The dealer produced a flop of {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Selbst check-called a continuation bet of 15,000 from Newey. The {10-Hearts} fell on the turn and both players checked, allowing the {3-Spades} to hit the river. Selbst bet 15,000 and Newey moved out a call.

Selbst showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and was surprised to see Newey show {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for the same hand. As the pot was chopped, Bill Perkins took a seat at the table announcing that he had re-entered after busting from the feature table.

"Lodden Thinks" Shenanigans

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Bill Perkins
Bill Perkins

Over on the side feature table that contains Zach Hyman, Sam Greenwood, Bill Perkins, Ivan Soshnikov, Daniel Colman, Igor Kurganov, Mike McDonald, and Scott Seiver, the game of "Lodden Thinks" has been keeping the players occupied plenty. The players involved are Perkins, Colman, Kurganov, and Seiver, with McDonald serving as "the Lodden."

For one of the recent questions, McDonald was asked how much he thought it would take for Soshnikov to shave his eyebrows off and keep them shaved off for his entire life. The bidding began with Seiver and went around between the four players involved until Perkins bid $551,000. Seiver took the under, then Kurganov did the same. Colman took the over, and then McDonald gave his number.

McDonald's number was $2,500,000, giving the win to Colman and Perkins.

Then, another "Lodden Thinks" question followed with McDonald once more serving as the brain. This question was about the dealer at the table, and how much it would take for that dealer to not cleanse his mouth or teeth in any way for a year and a half. This meant no brushing his teeth, no mouthwash, and no chewing gum, among other things. Keep in mind that the dealer confirmed that he had a girlfriend.

After McDonald locked in his number, the bidding began.

After a few times around, Perkins bid $421,000. Colman, Kurganov, and Seiver all took the under, but they were all wrong by doing so. McDonald had set his number at $600,000, and Perkins picked up the win.

From there, the game didn't stop and the next question was up. Because the players didn't seem to enjoy the monetary figures McDonald was locking in, they picked a question that didn't involve a currency — how many grains of sand does McDonald think the beach contains?

Shakerchi Flushes Negreanu

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The board read {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} when we found Talal Shakerchi, Justin Bonomo, and Daniel Negreanu engaged a hand. Shakerchi and Bonomo checked over to Negreanu who fired out a bet of 27,000. Shakerchi quickly called and Bonomo just as quickly tossed his hand away.

The {3-Hearts} finished the board and Shakerchi checked once more. Negreanu knocked the table back and threw his hand into the muck after seeing Shakerchi's {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a turned diamond flush. He raked in the chips and now has about 405,000 to his name.
