Negreanu Had One Foot Out the Door

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jonathan Jaffe opened to 9,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Daniel Negreanu in the small blind who three-bet to 37,000. Jaffe called and the two went heads-up to a flop of {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Negreanu led out for 20,000 and Jaffe called. The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Negreanu fired 30,000, which Jaffe again called.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Negreanu pushed all in for around 80,000. Jaffe snap-called and Negreanu was half-way out of his seat already. Jaffe turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Negreanu piped up.

"Oh, I'm still good," he said as he also turned over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. "There's not a hand I could beat when you snap call," Negreanu pointed out. He and Jaffe would chop the pot and Negreanu lived to fight another day.
