Hands #47-51: Aldemir Closing the Gap

Hand 47: Shawn Buchanan was given a walk in the big blind.

Hand 48: Maria Lampropulos shoved on the button with the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand 49: Koray Aldemir limped in from the small blind with {j-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Lampropulos checked her option with the {7-Spades}{2-Hearts}. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Aldemir won the pot with a bet of 100,000

Hand 50: Aldemir opened with the {9-Spades}{6-Spades} on the button and Buchanan called in the big blind with the {3-Spades}{2-Spades}. Buchanan check-folded to a bet of 330,000.

Hand 51: Lampropulos looked down at the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} on the button and limped in. Buchanan raised to 590,000 from the small blind only to see Aldemir three-bet to 1,500,000. Both Lampropulos and Buchanan folded.

Hands #41-46: Koray Aldemir Doubles Through Shawn Buchanan

Hand 41: Koray Aldemir raised to 200,000 on the button with the {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Shawn Buchanan called from the big blind with the {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop saw Buchanan check top pair and Aldemir continuation-bet 140,000.

Buchanan called and then checked the {7-Spades} turn. Aldemir checked behind and the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river. Buchanan bet 325,000 and Aldemir called trying to catch a bluff. With that, Buchanan took down the 1.41 million pot.

Hand 42: Maria Lampropulos held the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the button and she just called. Buchanan did the same with the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} in the small blind and Aldemir checked his option from the big with the {9-Spades}{2-Spades}. All three players saw the {q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop and they all checked.

The {3-Spades} turn saw Buchanan bet 175,000 with his open-ended straight draw, Aldemir folded, and Lampropulos called with her pair of queens. The {3-Hearts} river was no help to Buchanan and he gave up by checking. Lampropulos checked behind and won the pot.

Hand 43: Buchanan raised the button to 200,000 with the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Lampropulos three-bet to 750,000 from the big blind with the {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Buchanan folded.

Hand 44: Buchanan received a walk in the big blind.

Hand 45: Buchanan limped the small blind with the {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Aldemir checked his option with the {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Both players checked the {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop and the {8-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Buchanan checked, Aldemir bet 155,000, and Buchanan folded.

Hand 46: Buchanan raised the button to 200,000 with the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Aldemir three-bet all in for 2.675 million with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} in the small blind. It was a race, but Aldemir needed to improve to stay alive.

He managed to do it on the {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, and his hand held through the {2-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river.

Christopher Kruk Wins his Biggest Live Poker Tournament for $836,350

Christopher Kruk wins the $25K 3-day tournament for a hefty $836,350. There were over 100 entries including Daniel Negreanu, Dan Shak, Erik Seidel, Issac Haxton and last year's winner Luc Greenwood. Ultimately, it was Christopher Kruk who overcame a massive chip deficit to win the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $25K.

Hands #36-40: Aldemir on the Rise

Hand 36: Shawn Buchanan limped in from the small blind with the {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Koray Aldemir checked his option with the {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The flop came {5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Buchanan bet 100,000.

Aldemir called to see the {6-Hearts} on the turn. Both players checked and the {8-Hearts} completed the board.

Buchanan led with a bet of 125,000 and Aldemir raised to 550,000. Buchanan called and Aldemir dragged in a sizeable pot.

Hand 37: Buchanan opened on the button with the {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and won the pot

Hand 39: Buchanan limped with the {5-Spades}{4-Hearts} in the small blind and Aldemir checked with his {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Both players checked a {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop to see the {q-Diamonds} and Buchanan won the pot with a bet on the turn.

Hand 40: Buchanan opened with the {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} on the button and Aldemir called in the small blind with the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}. The flop fanned out {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {4-Spades} on the turn. Both players checked again and the {9-Hearts} completed the board. Another two checks saw them chop the pot with king high.

The {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop saw both players check and the {5-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Buchanan bet 260,000 with his double gutter and Aldemir folded.

Hand 34: Buchanan picked up the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} on the button and raised to 200,000. Lampropulos called from the big blind with her {j-Spades}{8-Clubs} and the flop came down {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Lampropulos checked and then folded when Buchanan continued for 175,000.

Hand 35: Lampropulos limped the small blind with the {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Buchanan checked his option with the {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop paired Lampropulos and she checked. Buchanan bet 100,000, Lampropulos called, and the {A-Spades} hit the turn.

Both players checked and the {2-Spades} river gave Buchanan a flush. Lampropulos checked and Buchanan bet 250,000. Lampropulos once again hit the tank before letting it go.

Adrian Mateos Eliminated in 4th Place ($372,600)

Hand 31: Shawn Buchanan peeled the {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and opened under the gun. Adrian Mateos looked down at the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and three-bet to 600,000 on the button. Buchanan called and a {6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop was issued.

Buchanan checked and Mateos bet 700,000. Buchanan raised to 1,800,000, Mateos three-bet jammed all in for 3,395,000 and Buchanan called.

Mateos was ahead but Buchanan had some draws. The {4-Diamonds} quickly crushed Mateos' hopes and the meaningless {9-Hearts} on the river sealed his fate, falling in fourth place for $372,600.

Hands #25-30: Aldemir Shoves Three Times

Hand 25: Shawn Buchanan woke up with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and limped in from the small blind. Adrian Mateos raised to 300,000 with the {7-Hearts}{6-Spades} out of the big blind and Buchanan four-bet to 1,100,000 getting a quick fold from Mateos.

Hand 26: Buchanan opened on the button with the {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Koray Aldemir three-bet jammed with the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}, forcing Buchanan to fold.

Hand 27: Aldemir limped from the small blind holding {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Maria Lampropulos raised to 325,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} winning the pot.

Hand 28: Mateos opened under the gun {a-Spades}{2-Spades} and folded when Aldemir three-bet jammed on the button with the {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Hand 29: Buchanan limped with the {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} in the small blind and folded when Mateos three-bet to 300,000 with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} in the big blind.

Hand 30: Mateos limped from the small blind with the {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and called a raise to 265,000 by Aldemir with the {9-Spades}{4-Spades} in the big blind. The flop fanned out {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Mateos bet 460,000. Aldemir shoved and won the pot.

The {2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop saw both players check and the dealer burn and turn the {4-Spades}. Aldemir led out for 120,000 and Buchanan let it go.
