Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Shawn Buchanan limped in from the small blind but Michael Farrow in the big blind had bigger plans and raised to 100,000. Buchanan called.

Buchanan lead for 100,000 on {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Farrow raised to 270,000. Buchanan called and check-called another 300,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn.

The {6-Clubs} completed the board and Buchanan checked. Farrow checked behind and Buchanan showed {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Farrow showed the {J-Spades} and smashed his cards into the muck.

Lampropulos Four Bets

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

In a hand on the feature table, Maria Lampropulos raised from the cutoff seat holding {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Action folded around where Daniel Coupal was in the small blind. He three-bet, making it 190,000 holding {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Lampropulos dropped into the tank and thought for a long while before deciding to four-bet, making it 420,000 total with her queen-high. Coupal thought for a bit, removed his sunglasses, stared down Lampropulos, then eventually decided to fold, allowing Lapropulos to take down the pot.

Mateos Spikes an Ace to Double Through Peters

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Adrian Mateos from Day 4
Adrian Mateos from Day 4

Adrian Mateos opened with a raise to 65,000 from the cutoff seat. Next to act was David Peters and he three-bet, raising to 185,000. Action folded back to Mateos and he moved all in for 880,000. Peters snap-called.

Peters: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Mateos: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

The flop came down {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} which put Mateos in a commanding position. He held it down on the {5-Clubs} turn and the {Q-Clubs} river. That allowed Mateos to take down the monster pot, while Peters, the one-time chip leader, fell to the shortest stack at the table.

Jonathan West Eliminated in 12th Place ($63,220)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jonathan West
Jonathan West

Action folded to Jonathan West in the small blind and he limped in. Koray Aldemir raised to 100,000 from the big blind and West called.

West tapped the table on {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Aldemir bet 90,000. West announced a raise, making it a massive 600,000 with about 800,000 behind.

Aldemir took his time and eventually shoved all in. West called.

Jonathan West: {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Koray Aldemir: {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {K-Hearts} on the turn was a blank and while the {8-Diamonds} on the river paired the board, it wasn't the card West was looking for.

The rich just got richer, while West had to settle for 12th place, netting him $63,220. The remaining 11 players are now guaranteed $75,640.

More for Koray Aldemir

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Koray Aldemir raised to 65,000 from the hijack and Adalfer Morales Gamarra called from the small blind. Christian Rudolph came along from the big and three players took a flop of {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}.

All three checked, the dealer burned and turned the {4-Clubs}, and Gamarra checked. Rudolph bet 90,000, Aldemir called, and Gamarra folded before the {2-Diamonds} was put out on the river.

Rudolph checked and folded to a bet of 205,000 from Aldemir.

Buchanan Recovering Nicely

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

On the button, Jonathan West raised, making it 60,000. Koray Aldemir called from the small blind and Shawn Buchanan called from the big blind.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and action checked to West who bet 75,000 on the button. Buchanan was the only caller.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and Buchanan check-called another bet from West, this time for 125,000.

Both players slowed down and checked the {4-Hearts} on the river. Buchanan showed his {K-Spades}{8-Spades} and that was good enough to earn him the pot, pushing him back over 1 million chips.

Bartosz Stasiewicz Eliminated in 13th Place ($63,220)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Bartosz Stasiewicz - 13th Place
Bartosz Stasiewicz - 13th Place

In the first hand back from the break, Action folded to the short-stacked Bartosz Stasiewicz on the button and he moved all in for right around 285,000. Shawn Buchanan, the second-shortest stack among the remaining players, then three-bet all in over the top from the small blind. That got Michael Farrow to fold from the big and the hands were turned up.

Stasiewicz: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Buchanan: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

It was a flip, but Stasiewicz needed to improve to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, that proved easier said than done as the board ran out a dry {5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}.
