Winter Calls It

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tom-Aksel Bedell opened to 17,000 from the cutoff and was called by Sean Winter on the button and Thomas Muehloecker in the small blind. Sam Greenwood three-bet to 75,000 in the big blind which only got a call from Winter.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and both players checked to the {4-Spades} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river. Greenwood checked for the third time and Winter finally pushed in a bet of 118,000. Greenwood flicked in a chip to call and Winter showed his displeasure with the hand.

"You have ace-eight?" Winter asked as he tabled {k-Spades}{j-Spades}. Greenwood turned over {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} which was virtually the same hand as ace-eight. "Fucking bullshit!" Winter reacted. "I can't believe I let you get away with that shit. I knew you had ace-eight and I still played the hand like a dumbass."
