Kempe and Foxen on Crumbs

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

At one table, a completed board of {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} was spread across the felt and Rainer Kempe had a bet of 26,000 laid in front of him. Pablo Melogno raised to 77,500 and Kempe went into the tank before making the call. Melogno tabled {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a full house to scoop the pot and leave Kempe with 10 big blinds.

At the next table over, Sean Winter raised to 37,500 from under the gun, leaving himself with just 1,500 in his hand. Alex Foxen shipped all in on the button and Winter stuck in his last couple of chips.

Foxen tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and was flipping against the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of Winter. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} giving both players a flush, but Winter with the stronger holding.

Davidi Kitai was on the button and bet 20,000 into about 32,000 on {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. Chris Hunichen called in the big blind and the river was the {k-Clubs}. Hunichen checked and Kitai bet 50,000. Hunichen cut out calling chips and then slid them in.

Kitai showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a backdoor straight.

"So gross," Hunichen said. "So lucky," he added with a slight smile.

Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen jammed his last 21,500 in from middle position and Sean Winter isolated with a shove of his own from the small blind.

Alex Foxen: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Sean Winter: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} board brought the chance of a chop but the {k-Diamonds} river gave Foxen the nut straight.
