Winter Hits a Three-Outer

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Martin Zamani opened to 23,000 from under the gun and Sean Winter shipped all in for 93,000 in the small blind. Kelvin Kerber just called from the big blind and Zamani quickly folded.

Sean Winter: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Kelvin Kerber: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Winter was still way behind with his inferior ace. However, the {q-Spades} on the turn paired his queen and he held on through the {9-Hearts} on the river.

The remaining 16 players are heading on their last 15-minute break of the evening.

Satubayev Bounced

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche raised to 22,000 in the cutoff and Shyngis Satubayev shipped all in for 82,000 on the button. Bartlomiej Machon also pushed all in over the top from the big blind and Nitsche quickly folded.

Bartlomiej Machon: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Shyngis Satubayev: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Machon was already but the {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop gave him a pair for good measure. The turn was the {5-Spades} and the river was the {8-Hearts} to send Satubayev on his way.

Zamani Busts Another One

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action was up to Chin Wei Lim who made it 22,000 on the button. Martin Zamani announced all in from the big blind and Lim instantly called off his stack of 263,000.

Martin Zamani: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Chin Wei Lim: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Zamani was in a dominating position and the flop of {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} only increased his odds. The {4-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Lim was already drawing dead to the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

Speranza Eliminates Celestino

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Kelvin Kerber opened for 20,000, Gianluca Speranza made it 75,000 in the cutoff on his left and Ariel Celestino ripped all in from the small blind. It folded back to Speranza who asked for a count of the relatively short stack, eliciting some laughs. It was 148,000 and he announced a call and showed {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Celestino had {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} but got bad news when {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flopped. The {4-Spades} turn left him dead and he got a fist pound from Speranza on the way to payouts.

"I thought you had a worse hand than this," Kerber said with a chuckle. "This is a good hand."

Bedell Shoves on Durnegger

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Markus Durnegger opened in the cutoff for 22,000 and called a three-bet to 51,000 by neighbor Tom-Aksel Bedell. Durnegger check-called 33,000 on the {6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop and the {7-Hearts} hit the turn. Durnegger checked again and Bedell jammed for 96,000.
