Hand #33: Rivera Doubles Through Colillas

Level 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Hand #33: Marc Rivera shoved all in with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} from under the gun and Ramon Colillas re-shoved with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} in the small blind. Scott Baumstein quickly folded the big blind and Rivera was at risk and in need of some help.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to give Rivera two pair and the lead. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {9-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing as Rivera scored a double up.

Hand #42: Martini got a walk in the big blind, holding pocket sixes.

Hand #43: Rivera, with {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, raised to 800,000. Colillas defended big blind with {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

Ramon Colillas
Ramon Colillas

Hand #50: Julien Martini raised with {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to 800,000 on the button and Ramon Colillas called with {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} in the small blind.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and both players checked, leading to a {6-Spades} turn. Colillas bet 1.4 million and Martini popped it to 4.1 million. Colillas needed a time extension and put in a call. The river {a-Spades} checked through, with Martini saying he hoped it was queen-jack or king-queen and being pleased to see he was right.

Hand #51: Colillas raised to 800,000 on the button with {a-Hearts}{2-Spades} but folded to a three-bet from Julien Martini, who had {j-Clubs}{7-Spades} and made it 2 million.

Hand #52: Marc Rivera min-raised with {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} on the button and Colillas defended {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

They checked to the turn on {5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Colillas bet 1.1 million. Rivera called and the river was the {9-Spades}. Colillas bet 1.4 million and Rivera called fairly quickly with his tens up.

Hand #53: Martini woke up with the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} on the button but his raise went un-called.

Hand #54: Rivera completed {q-Spades}{6-Spades} and Martini raised to 1.4 million with {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Rivera said he should play but gave it up with a chuckle.

Hand #55: Rivera raised to 1.1 million with {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} on the button and Colillas defended big blind with {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Colillas checked and Rivera instantly announced all in on the {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop. Colillas called with his second pair for 3.7 million. The {9-Diamonds} brought more outs for Rivera in the form of a flush draw but the {6-Clubs} river was a brick.
