Strelitz Wins Flip to Double Through Nguyen

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

Mihai Manole had opened and Tommy Nguyen three-bet in the hijack to 170,000. Daniel Strelitz in the big blind four-bet all in for 1,215,000 and Manole folded. Nguyen asked for a count and used four time banks before tossing in a single chip for the call.

Daniel Strelitz: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Tommy Nguyen: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip and Strelitz took the lead on the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. Running straight outs for Nguyen were shut down on the {K-Diamonds} turn as Strelitz improved to trips kings, and the {10-Diamonds} river changed nothing whatsoever to keep Strelitz in contention.

Nguyen, who had started the day as the chip leader, suddenly dropped to fewer than 20 big blinds.

Deadman Calls With Ace-High; Is Good

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Simon Deadman
Simon Deadman

Daniel Strelitz opened to 60,000 and Matthias Eibinger three-bet the button to 215,000, which forced folds all around.

Mihai Manole then opened to 65,000 and Eibinger called in the cutoff, as did Christoph Vogelsang in the small blind. The {Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop was checked to Eibinger and he bet 85,000 to win the pot right there.

Last but not least, Chino Rheem raised and was called by Simon Deadman in the big blind. They checked until the river of a {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} board and Deadman checked once more. Rheem bet 85,000 and the call followed. Rheem tabled {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Deadman won the hand with {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Rheem Scores A Massive Double Through Eibinger

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

After the redraw, Matthias Eibinger and Chino Rheem were put back right next to each other and the two once again got involved in a big pot to add another chapter to their storied rivalry.

Rheem raised to 60,000 from under the gun and Eibinger defended his big blind. The flop was {7-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Eibinger checked. Rheem bet 100,000, Eibinger check-raised to 275,000 and Rheem called at the buzzer.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Eibinger kept up the aggression with a bet of 220,000. Rheem slid in a call in position.

On the {9-Spades} river, Eibinger bet 300,000 and Rheem glossed over all his options. He used up one of his time bank cards and one second left on his clock, he shoved all in for 1,485,000. Now, Eibinger was the one with a headache, and the Austrian sat up in his chair and talked to himself trying to figure out the scenario.

Eibinger used up all his time banks and with literally one second left on his final extension, he called. Rheem quickly showed {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for the turned full house, Eibinger showed {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and mucked to be left with not even 30 bigs.
