Tolbert Gets Shorter

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Clint Tolbert raised to 90,000 from a middle position. Pedro Neves three-bet to 210,000 in the cutoff and Tolbert let it go.

Shortly after, Tolbert was in the big blind and he faced a raise to 85,000 by Alexandre Raymond. "I gave you a lot of respect," Tolbert told Neves in table chat until it was his time to act. He then called and checked the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop. Raymond bet 60,000 and Tolbert came along.

The same action repeated for 105,000 on the {3-Spades} turn and the {10-Spades} river was then checked through. Tolbert revealed the {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Raymond won the pot with {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for the superior high card.

Aces for Wakil

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Sergi Rexiach opened to 80,000 from the cutoff and called after Jamil Wakil three-bet to 325,000 from the small blind with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}.

On the {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, Wakil continued for 175,000 and was called. The turn brought in the {8-Hearts} turn and Wakil fired a second barrel of 400,000 to which Reixach folded.

On the stream, only one of Reixach's cards was visible and it was the {q-Spades}.

Straight Flush for Wakil

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jamil Wakil
Jamil Wakil

Jamil Wakil opened to 90,000 from the button and then called after Mitchell Halverson made it 275,000 from the small blind.

Halverson, with {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, bet 155,000 on the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and Wakil called with his {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Halverson continued for 230,000 on the {4-Diamonds} turn and Wakil called again.

Wakil then drilled the straight flush on the {5-Diamonds} river but Halverson slowed down and checked with his missed flush draw. Wakil, with the stone-cold nuts, used up a time bank card before moving all in. Halverson wasted little time in folding.

Matakis Applies Preflop Pressure; Tolbert Getting Shoves Through

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ian Matakis raised to 80,000 from under the gun before Pedro Neves three-bet to 210,000 from the button. Matakis fired back with a raise to 420,000 and Neves went into the tank for a moment before he tossed his cards in the muck.

Meanwhile, the table has been playing small ball for a couple of orbits. Clint Tolbert got two shoves through, and Mello did the same from the small blind against Matakis. A number of other preflop raises in this level have taken the pot without any action.

Raymond Shoves the Turn

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alexandre Raymond raised to 105,000, with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, from the small blind and Allan Mello called from the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The flop was {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Raymond continued for 90,000 and Mello called to see {10-Clubs} on the turn. Raymond shoved the turn and Mello gave a quick thought to committing his 425,000, but he thought better of it and the hand went into the muck.

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little

Alexandros Kolonias opened to 90,000 from the button with the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Jonathan Little defended in the big blind with {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Little check-raised to 200,000 on the {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop after Kolonias continued for 80,000. Kolonias called.

The {8-Clubs} turn checked through to the {q-Diamonds} river and Little checked once more. Kolonias bet 200,000 and after some decision time, Little made the hero call and then mucked after seeing Kolonias had the winner.

Cagey Action on Secondary Feature Table Continues

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Taylor Paur raised to 80,000 and won the blinds and antes. Allan Mello open jammed for 405,000 to win the pot uncontested.

Ian Matakis raised to 80,000 on the button and Clint Tolbert jammed out of the big blind. The initial raiser asked for a count and sigh-folded after a few seconds when it was deemed to be for 440,000.

Alexandre Raymond raised to 85,000 and folded to a shove by Michel Dattani.

Paur limped the small blind and Pedro Neves checked from the big blind. They invested 65,000 each on the {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and checked the {9-Clubs} turn. On the {a-Clubs} river, Paur bet 75,000 and Neves folded.

Mello Doubles Through Raymond

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Allan Mello
Allan Mello

The action folded to the table chip leader Alexandre Raymond on the secondary feature table. He moved all-in with the covering stack and Allan Mello called all-in for the last 565,000.

Allan Mello: {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Alexandre Raymond: {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}

While the shorter stack would usually hope for an ace, that would have been the worst case scenario on the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop. Raymond had an open-ended straight draw and two live cards but bricked the {8-Clubs} turn and {6-Diamonds} river for Mello to double.

Csik made a set on the {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop and bet 205,000. Martirosian folded.

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

With 240,000 in the pot on the {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} board, Jamil Wakil bet 140,000 from the small blind and Jonathan Little called from the hijack.

Wakil, who had {k-Spades}{q-Spades}, sized down to 50,000 on the {8-Spades} river. Little, with {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, raised to 300,000 and Wakil folded the best hand.
