Haxton's Stack Takes a Couple of Hits

Level 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang opened to 21,000 in the cutoff and Isaac Haxton three-bet to 65,000 on the button. Jean-Noel Thorel four-bet to 130,000 in the small blind which got Vogelsang to fold but Haxton called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} and Thorel splashed in a bet of 150,000. Haxton laid his hand down and Thorel collected the pot.

On the next hand, Vogelsang raised to 20,000 and Haxton re-raised to 65,000 again. It folded back to Vogelsang who shipped all in for 166,000. Haxton called and the cards were on their backs.

Christoph Vogelsang: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Isaac Haxton: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Vogelsang hit a king on the flop to secure his double-up.
