Stamm Stands Tall Against Mateos

Level 24 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

There were a couple of limps at the table and Adrian Mateos raised to 90,000 in the small blind. David Stamm was the only limper that called out of the cutoff.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} and Mateos led out with a bet of 65,000. Stamm called and the {4-Clubs} landed on the turn. Mateos checked this time and Stamm announced all in. Mateos quickly folded and Stamm soared up the leaderboard.

Lafontaine Doubles Through Vanier

Level 24 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Michael Vanier opened to 45,000 from the cutoff and Michael Uguccioni called in the small blind. Luc Lafontaine then moved all in for 179,000 from the big blind, with Vanier four-betting to 345,000. Uguccioni got out of the way, leaving Lafontaine at risk.

Luc Lafontaine: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Michael Vanier: {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Lafontaine took a commanding lead on the {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, but the {5-Spades} turn gave Vanier a straight draw. The river {5-Hearts} was a brick, as Lafontaine more than doubled his stack.

At a nearby table, Conor Beresford hit the rail after sitting among the chip leaders at the last break.
