Nine Players Remain Heading to Day 2 of CMSOP $1,100 T.O.R.S.E. Championship
The Chainsaw Mixed Series of Poker (CMSOP) continues on today at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas with Day 2 of the $1,100 T.O.R.S.E. Championship.
The unique mixed game event, which made its way to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) schedule earlier this summer, drew 49 runners for a prize pool of $48,020. It is similar to H.O.R.S.E. but replaces Limit Hold'em with 2-7 Triple Draw.
Despite the event being down to the final nine players, the money bubble has yet to burst and will do so on Day 2, which kicks off today at noon local time. Leading the way is Leonard August with a stack of 402,000.
The T.O.R.S.E. event marks the third and final $1,100 buy-in championship event of the series. England's Ted Jackson-Spivack won the $1,100 Omaha 8 or Better Championship for $18,411, while Serbian-American Damjan Radanov won the more recent $1,100 H.O.R.S.E. Championship for $16,479.
Like other events so far this series, the final day of the T.O.R.S.E Championship should move quickly with rapid-fire eliminations and rotations through the five different games.
Stay tuned as the PokerNews live reporting team is on-site at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and ready to provide coverage of the $1,100 T.O.R.S.E. Championship.
