2025 Chainsaw Mixed Series of Poker
The Chainsaw Mixed Series of Poker (CMSOP) is back, and this time, it’s taking over the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. From November 9–20, Planet Hollywood plays host to a 12-event mixed-game festival designed by Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, one of poker’s most passionate advocates for non-Hold’em formats.
Fresh off a stop at The Orleans earlier in October, where David Bach claimed the Main Event title, the series now returns to Planet Hollywood for another two-week celebration of split pots, seven-card games, and stud variants. Players can look forward to deep structures, generous level times, and a format list that looks more like a WSOP mixed-game rotation than a typical Las Vegas daily.
$600 Limit Omaha 8 or Better Kicks Off at 11 a.m.
The action kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 9, with the $600 Limit
Omaha 8 or Better. Players start with 40,000 chips and 30-minute levels, giving plenty of room to maneuver in a game where split pots and quartering are the norm.
Expect to see familiar faces from the Vegas mixed-game scene along with newcomers looking to dip their toes into the CMSOP experience.
What to Expect
Over the next 12 days, the series will feature nine $600 buy-ins and three $1,100 Championship events, covering everything from H.O.R.S.E. and Big O to T.O.R.S.E. and the debut of a five-way Mixed Triple Draw (A-5, 2-7, Badugi, Badacey, and Badeucey).
There’s also a $7,500 leaderboard competition, complete with “Chainsaw” trophies for the top performers, and for the first time, PokerNews will provide daily coverage, including Championship live reporting, results recaps, and leaderboard updates.
