Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action folded to Deven Lane on the button, and he put in a raise to 25,000. Ken Cung called from the small blind, as did the player in the big blind. Cung led out for 35,000 and the big blind folded quickly, but it took Lane a little longer to come to the same conclusion.

Micky Gagic
Micky Gagic

A player raised under the gun for 35,000. The action folded around to Micky Gagic in the big blind who put the last of his 30,000 chips into the middle.

Gagic: {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Gagic was drawing slim heading to the flop which was no help for him {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. The board completed {4-Spades} and {7-Diamonds} to eliminate the Event 1 champion in 15th place for $673.

Gagic Doubles Through Matt Perin

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Micky Gagic is having quite a day. After coming back in the final three for the $600 event and then taking it down, he jumped into the bounty event, and now finds himself in the money of a second event today.

He was on the verge of being the 18th place player when he shoved his small stack into Matt Perin's big blind. Perin made the call with low connected cards ({4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}) while Gagic was playing a pair of fives. The board ran out well for Gagic, despite looking a little scary. At first, the table thought Perin won with a rivered straight on the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} board, until they all realized Gagic had turned the full house with fives full of jacks, rendering any straight for Perin moot.

Brian Thorvaldson raised under the gun to 16,000, the player next to act called and a player in middle position three bet to 40,000. Matt Newton was in the small blind and went all in for 31,500. Thorvaldson called and the player next to act folded.

The action was heads up for the side pot which was checked around on the {2-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop. Thorvaldson led for 9,500 on the {3-Spades} turn card and got called.

The {9-Clubs} river saw Thorvaldson's opponent fold to his bet of 30,000 which won him the side pot.

Thorvaldson: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Newton: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Thorvaldson's top pair was also good enough to win him the main pot and Matt Newton was eliminated in 20th place for $554.
