Let's Make a Deal

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Before the cards even got in the air on Day 2, the final three players agreed to a deal to soften the money jumps a bit. They decided to chop the remaining prize pool to lock up $18,000 each, leaving $4,820 on the table to play for. Of course, the trophy and championship ring are also still on the table for the player who eventually ends up with all the chips.

Cards are now in the air, and players are playing in Level 23 with blinds at 15,000/30,000/30,000.

Charles Doubles Through Gagic

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Micky Gagic raised to 100,000 on the button and Mark Charles pushed all in from the big blind. Gagic snap called.

Gagic: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Charles: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Charles was behind but the flop came {2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to put him into the lead. The {3-Diamonds} turn and {5-Clubs} river changed nothing and Charles got the double.

Three Players Remain In $600 NLHE

$600 NLHE Final Table
$600 NLHE Final Table

There are just three players left to come back to the felt for Day 2 of the $600 NLHE. Day 1 went relatively quickly as a total of 195 entries hit the felt to vie for the prizes.

The field was already shrinking by the time the dinner break came back, and play was hand for hand to the money well before midnight. It didn't take that long for the bubble to burst, with only about half a dozen hands during hand for hand play.

Once the bubble burst, short stacks started to take a few more chances, having locked up a payday, and Dave Shiska and Mel Podiama were the first players out with cash after they ran into the pocket aces of Mark Charles. They exited in 20th and 19th place respectfully, collecting the min-cash amount of $1,367.

Play slowed down a little bit as the money jumps widened. While it originally looked like the tournament might end on Day 1, the final table proved to be a more cagey affair, and by the time the end of the night was approaching, there were still five players left at the felt.

The final level would prove deadly for two more players though. Codey Chief couldn't quite make it to Day 2, but as one of the satellite winners, he still turned a small investment into a very nice payday as he exited early in Level 22 when his ace-seven ran into the pocket aces of Micky Gagic and finished in 5th place for $6,336.

Paul Esposti had been battling all day, but he missed a seat at the Day 2 table by a nose. It was on one of the last hands of the night that he got his suited king-ten in, only to run into the slick of Zoe Chua.

Here's a look at the full payouts so far:
