Takayama Out Before the Dinner Break

Level 8 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Chung Chuen Co was spotted raking in a big pot and the cards as well as the board were still tabled while most other players had already left for the dinner break. On a board of {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, he had looked up a shove by Mike Takayama and was shown the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a gutsy bluff with the missed flush draw.

Co's {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for queens and treys were good enough for the knockout as he leaped to a seven-figure stack.

Chong Scores a Knockout

Level 7 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ling Tien Yoon was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and his cards were already in the muck. He had previously lost a big portion of his stack with ace-queen versus ace-king and could not beat Victor Chong in the last showdown either.

Chong's {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} were the best hand on a {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} runout as the field was reduced by one contender.
