The last time we saw Wing Kei Chan in action at the poker tables of the Venetian Macau he was busy final tabling the Oriental Poker Championship where he eventually finished 9th for an HKD 145,600 ($18,548) payday.
While there is still a long way to go between the Hong Kong player and another final table appearance, Chan has got his PKC Main Event off to a decent start.
We caught Chan in action against a tablemate with close to 4,000 already in the pot with the community cards spread .
Chan's opponent checked the action and the Hong Kong player reached for chips, betting out a half-pot sized 2,000, which was enough to take it down and climb to around 33,000.

A further four tables have opened up, bringing the number of Main Event tournament tables up to 14 and the number of players in action up to 140, though there is still a healthy amount of alternates waiting to be seated.
Some of the new arrivals include Ireland's Mark Gruendemann and High Roller's Hong Jun Zhao, Lin Wu and Quan Zhou, who are all now seated and in the thick of the action.
