Alan Schein Eliminated by Stefan Schillhabel

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Alan Schein
Alan Schein

On a board reading {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} with roughly 100,000 in the middle, Stefan Schillhabel moved all in from the small blind.

Alan Schein went into the tank and eventually made the call to be at-risk.

Schein: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Schillhabel: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

With Schillhabel flopping a set against Schein's top pair, Schein would be left drawing dead as the river landed the {3-Clubs}.

Schillhabel is now the tournament chip leader with over 550,000 in chips.

Haxton Bets the Turn and Gets There

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Feature Table:

Tom Marchese raised to 5,000 on the button with {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Isaac Haxton called from the big blind holding {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} and both players checked to the {8-Hearts} on the turn.

Haxton led out for 9,000 and Marchese made the call. The river was the {k-Clubs}, pairing Haxton's king, and he fired again for 9,500. Marchese took some time to think about his decision and eventually called. Haxton tabled his hand and took down the pot.

Nitsche Bets Top Pair on River

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a board of {3-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts} with roughly 35,000 in the middle, Dominik Nitsche bet out 22,000.

His opponent in the hand - Dan Shak - went into the tank and eventually used one of his time extension buttons before pushing forward calling chips.

Nitsche tabled his {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for top pair, and Shak mucked.

Petrangelo Squeezes

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

From under the gun, Erik Seidel opened to 5,000 and Cary Katz called on the button.

David Peters called in the small blind, but it would be Nick Petrangelo bumping it up to 21,500 from the big.

Seidel, Katz, and Peters all quickly folded, and Petrangelo picked up the pot.

Big Slick Does't Do the Trick for Sean Winter

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

A short-stacked Sean Winter moved all in for 22,500 under the gun and Dominik Nitsche called from the small blind. Dan Shak folded from the big and the hands were turned up.

Nitsche: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Winter: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Winter was in great shape to double, but not after the flop came down {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to pair Nitsche. Neither the {9-Spades} turn nor {J-Diamonds} river was what Winter needed, and he hit the rail here in Level 5.

Seiver Can't Find a Bet

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Feature Table:

Brian Rast opened to 5,000 from the cutoff with {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Scott Seiver reraised to 20,000 on the button with {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Steffen Sontheimer folded {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} in the small blind and Rast wanted to see a flop.

The dealer fanned the flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Rast led out for 16,000 with his top pair. Seiver floated and the {a-Hearts} fell on the turn. Both players checked to the {5-Hearts} on the river and Rast checked again. Seiver took his time and used one of his time extensions but couldn't bring himself to make a bet. Seiver checked behind and Rast took down the pot.

"I folded a set," Sontheimer announced to the table.

"Wait until you see what I had. You're going to be really mad when you see what I raised with," Seiver responded with a chuckle.
