Event #4 Champ Brandon Adams Bows Out

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Brandon Adams
Brandon Adams

A short-stacked Jason Koon limped under the gun and Brandon Adams called from the small blind. Jake Schindler checked his option from the big and three players went to the {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{k-Spades} flop.

Adams, who had 22,500, moved all in, Schindler folded, and Koon, who had exactly the same amount, made the call.

Adams: {2-Spades}{3-Spades}
Koon: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Adams went with his flush draw, but it didn't pay off as the {4-Diamonds} blanked on the turn followed by the {A-Hearts} on the river.

Four-Bet from Negreanu Earns Him the Pot

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Feature Table:

Daniel Negreanu raised to 4,000 from early position and was called by Scott Seiver in the hijack, Tom Marchese on the button, Steffen Sontheimer in the small blind, and Isaac Haxton in the big blind.

Negreanu: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Seiver: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Marchese: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Sontheimer: {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Haxton: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and the action was checked to Negreanu who continued for 10,000. Seiver called and Marchese three-bet to 42,000. Both Sontheimer and Haxton quickly folded and Negreanu four-bet to 110,000. Seiver got out of the way and Marchese mucked his hand as well.

Aldemir Shoves on Tollerene

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Koray Aldemir raised to 4,000 from the cutoff and Ben Tollerene three-bet to 12,000 from the button. Aldemir pushed back with a four-bet to 35,000 and Tollerene called to see the {8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop.

Both players checked, the {6-Spades} appeared on the turn, and Aldemir bet 40,000, which Tollerene called. When the {7-Spades} completed the board on the river, Aldemir moved all in for 120,000 and Tollerene released.

Straight for Christner

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Christian Christner opened to 3,500 from the cutoff and both Dominik Nitsche and Dan Shak called in the blinds.

The dealer spread a {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{Q-Spades} flop and all three players checked as the turn landed the {10-Diamonds}.

Nitsche checked, Shak bet out 7,000, and Christner called as Nitsche folded.

The river landed the {J-Clubs} and Shak bet 7,000 again as Christner quickly called.

Shak announced an ace and showed his {A-Hearts}, but it would be Christner's {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for a straight that would ensure him the check mark.

Bonomo Rivers Pair

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Nick Petrangelo opened to 4,000 from middle position and Justin Bonomo called in the big blind.

Both players checked down the {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} board and Bonomo tabled his {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a rivered pair, and Petrangelo mucked.

Sontheimer Pushes Negreanu Off the Winner

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

With 120,500 in the middle and a board reading {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{A-Spades}, Steffen Sontheimer fired out a pot-sized bet of 120,000 with nothing but the {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} in the big blind.

Daniel Negreanu, who was in middle position with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, debated what to do, and eventually said, "I know what you have, you have king-queen."

Little did Negreanu know, that wasn't the case. "Kid Poker" wound up folding the winner and Sontheimer stole the pot.
