Two In a Row for Mateos

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Stefan Schillhabel raised to 3,000 on the button and Adrian Mateos called from the big blind. The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} and Mateos check-called a bet of 4,000 from Schillhabel.

The turn was the {j-Spades} and Mateos led out for 13,000. Schillhabel thought for a moment before making the call and the {6-Clubs} completed the board. Mateos fired again for 21,000 and Schillhabel instantly tossed his cards to the muck.

In the very next hand, Schillhabel opened to 3,000 again from the cutoff but this time Mateos three-bet to 14,000 out of the small blind. Schillhabel called to see a flop of {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

Both players checked to the {6-Diamonds} on the turn and the {4-Hearts} on the river. Mateos finally made a bet of 20,000 and Schillhabel laid his hand down again.

Peters Four-Bets and Wins on Turn

Erik Seidel opened the action first to act with a raise to 2,500 only to have Bryn Kenney three-bet to 8,500 next to act.

With the action on David Peters in the small blind, he cold four-bet to 24,000 and Seidel folded.

Kenney called, and then both players checked the {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop to see the {Q-Hearts} land on the turn.

Peters bet out 33,000, and Kenney folded.

Erik Seidel raised to 2,500 from under the gun and Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind. The dealer fanned the flop of {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Negreanu took the lead in the pot with a bet of 3,500. Seidel called to see the {8-Diamonds} land on the turn.

Both players checked to the {2-Hearts} on the river and Negreanu fired out another 16,000. Seidel's cards quickly hit the muck and Negreanu took down the pot.

Fishhooks for Kempe

With 6,000 in the pot and a flop of {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Sergio Aido checked from the small blind and then called a bet of 4,000 from Kempe, who was in the under-the-gun position.

After the dealer burned and turned the {8-Spades}, Aido checked again and Kempe upped his bet to 9,000. Aido called and then action went check-check on the {A-Clubs} river.

Aido tabled the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, but it was no good as Kempe revealed the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

From under the gun, Doug Polk opened to 2,500 and Isaac Haxton called in the small blind before both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs} flop.

The turn landed the {10-Hearts} and Haxton checked again before Polk bet out 3,000.

Haxton opted for a check-raise to 18,000, and Polk quickly folded.

Aido called, and when the river landed the {7-Hearts}, he led out for 18,000.

Holz went into the tank, eventually using one of his time extension buttons before finding a fold just before a second would need to be used.

Sontheimer Triple Barrels

Steffen Sontheimer raised to 3,000 on the button and Jason Koon defended his big blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Koon check-called a bet of 2,500 from Sontheimer.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and Koon checked again. Sontheimer fired 15,500 into the pot and Koon still called. The river brought the {4-Hearts} putting four cards to a straight on the board. Koon checked for the third time and Sontheimer reached back for a bet of 65,000.

Koon leaned on the table, biting the hoodie that covered his face. As his time bank was coming to an end, he finally let his cards go and Sontheimer raked in the pot.

Bonomo checked and Negreanu bet 2,500 with Bonomo calling, and then checking the {3-Spades} on the turn.

Negreanu bet out 6,000 and Bonomo called once again as the river landed the {k-Diamonds}.

Bonomo checked, Negreanu bet 22,000, and Bonomo released his hand.
