Tollerene Picks Off Christner

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Christian Christner opened to 12,000 from under the gun, and Ben Tollerene called in the big blind.

Tollerene checked, Christner bet 35,000, and Tollerene called as the river landed the {Q-Diamonds}.

Jake Schindler raised to 12,000 from the hijack with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Fedor Holz three-bet to 32,000 with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. With the action back on Schindler, he put in a four-bet to 85,000. Holz made the call and they went to the flop of {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Both players checked to the {5-Clubs} on the turn and the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Schindler finally tossed out a bet of 30,000 and Holz laid his hand down.

Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

As mentioned earlier, Byron Kaverman was the last player to register but had the option to wait until level 11 began, or take his seat immediately once there was an elimination.

Kaverman opted to take it straight away, and with Dan Shak eliminated just a few moments ago, Kaverman drew table four, and is now seated where Shak once was.

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

From the button, Daniel Negreanu raised to 10,000 and Stephen Chidwick called in the big blind.

Davies Bluffing with the Best Hand

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Fedor Holz raised to 12,000 from middle position with {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and was called by Seth Davies in the cutoff with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Steffen Sontheimer also tagged along with {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the action was checked around to the {9-Spades} on the turn. Holz was first to take a shot at the pot with a bet of 22,000 but was called by Davies.

The river landed the {5-Diamonds} and Holz bet again for 50,000. Davies had the best hand and raised it to 175,000, forcing Holz to muck his hand.

Schillhabel Clips Negreanu

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Catching the action on the river with the board reading {4-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{A-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} with roughly 65,000 in the middle after both players checked the turn, Daniel Negreanu bet out 110,000 from the cutoff.

Stefan Schillhabel on the button went into the tank and used a time extension button before calling.

Negreanu tabled his {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}, but it would be Schillhabel's {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} that would see him earn the pot.

Six More Hands

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Although this may seem odd, the tournament is still playing under Day 1 conditions, and thus, with 10 minutes remaining in level ten, the draw has been conducted and there are six more hands remaining in this level.

Once both tables have completed their six hands, a full re-draw will be undertaken like it would have been at the end of Day 1 if play were not halted short.

Smith Eliminated by Sontheimer

Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Dan Smith raised to 12,000 from the hijack with {7-Spades}{6-Spades} and Steffen Sontheimer called on the button with {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Holz also called from the big blind with {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and the {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop induced some action.

It was checked around to Sontheimer who bet 14,500, Holz folded, and Smith raised to 55,000. Sontheimer called and the {a-Spades} hit the turn.

Smith checked and Sontheimer fired 51,000 with two pair. Smith moved all-in for 355,000 and Sontheimer couldn't fold his two pair and flush draw. The river was the {k-Hearts} and Smith was eliminated at the hands of Sontheimer who took over the chip lead.
