Hellmuth Busts His Short-Stack

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Brian Rast raised to 12,000 on the button with {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Phil Hellmuth pushed all-in for 27,500 with {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Rast called and the cards were turned over.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Rast made a pair of queens to put Hellmuth on the ropes. The {j-Clubs} on the turn gave Rast two pair and Hellmuth was drawing dead to the {a-Clubs} on the river.

Hellmuth saw his run at The Poker Masters come to an end while Rast moved over one million chips.

Flush for Kaverman

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Stefan Schillhabel opened his button to 13,000 and Byron Kaverman called in the big blind.

The flop landed {Q-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Kaverman checked to Schillhabel who bet 9,000. Kaverman called, and then checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn as Schillhabel bet 27,000.

Kaverman again called, and when the river landed the {10-Clubs}, both players checked.

Kaverman tabled his {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for the nut flush, and Schillhabel mucked.

Rast's Full House Takes Down Holz's Flush

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The action was folded to Brian Rast in the small blind who just limped in with {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Fedor Holz raised to 16,500 with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Rast called to see the flop.

The dealer fanned the flop of {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Rast check-called a bet of 11,500 from Holz. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and both players checked to the {a-Hearts} on the river.

Rast led out for 47,000 with his full house and Holz called with a flush. Rast took down the pot in the last hand before the table redraw.
