Chidwick Doubles Through Rast

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Brian Rast raised to 14,000 from the cutoff and then called when Stephen Chidwick moved all in for 166,500 from the small blind.

Rast: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Chidwick: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

Chidwick needed some help, and he got it when the {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop paired his eight. Neither the {10-Spades} turn nor {6-Diamonds} river helped Rast, and he sent some chips over to Chidwick.

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Steffen Sontheimer opened with a raise to 14,000 holding {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and was called by Daniel Negreanu in the cutoff with {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Ben Tollerene defended his big blind with {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

All three players checked to the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {j-Clubs} on the river. They checked one more time and Tollerene announced "Three pair," to earn himself the pot.

Chidwick checked and Holz bet out 40,000. Chidwick called, and then checked the {9-Diamonds} on the river.

Davies Out-Flops Negreanu

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised to 14,000 under the gun with {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and was called by Seth Davies directly to his left with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Steffen Sontheimer called from the big blind with {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and the flop fell {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

The action was checked to Davies who flopped the best hand and bet 20,000. Negreanu decided to peel off another card and it was the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

Negreanu checked again and Davies fired 65,000 into the middle now, getting Negreanu to muck his hand.

Sontheimer Bluffs Negreanu

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Steffen Sontheimer remained aggressive with a raise to 15,000 on the button with {9-Spades}{5-Spades}. Daniel Negreanu and Seth Davies both called from the blinds with {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} and {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} respectively.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} and Negreanu led out for 17,000 with his straight draw. Davies folded and Sontheimer made the call.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and both players checked to the {7-Clubs} on the river. Negreanu checked again and Sontheimer bet 27,500. Negreanu thought for a moment but eventually folded the best hand and Sontheimer got away with another one.

Byron Kaverman Not Long for the Poker Masters

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Byron Kaverman jumped into play at the start of Level 10, and while he gathered some chips right away, he wouldn't survive through Level 11.

In what would ultimately be his last hand, Kaverman three-bet to 53,000 from the small blind after Fedor Holz had opened for 14,000 under the gun. Holz just called and then called a bet of 32,000 on the {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop.

Both players proceeded to check the {8-Diamonds} turn, and then Kaverman checked the {9-Hearts} river. Holz responded by moving all in and Kaverman burned through all three of his time extensions before calling off his remaining 160,000.

Holz rolled over the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, and Kaverman mucked. Since it was an all-in hand, the dealer was obligated to show his cards, which were the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.
