Green Takes from Ligeri

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Justin Ligeri limped in from under the gun before Brian Green raised to 14,000 next to act in the cutoff.

Ligeri called, and then checked the {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop to Green who continued for 13,000.

Ligeri called, and then the {8-Hearts} and {9-Spades} were checked through on the river.

Ligeri revealed his {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for nines-up, but it would be Green's {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for the same nines-up but a superior kicker that would ensure him of the pot.

Negreanu vs. Green

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised his button to 10,000 and Brian Green three-bet the big blind to 34,000.

Negreanu called, and on the {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop, he called a Green continuation-bet of 27,000.

The turn landed the {4-Clubs}, and Green checked to Negreanu who cut out a bet of 40,000.

As Green's time was about to expire, he flicked in one of his time extension chips for an additional 60-seconds, and when that was due to expire, he opted for a fold.

Adams Takes from Kaverman

Level 7 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

From the button, Brandon Adams raised to 7,000 and Byron Kaverman called in the big blind.

The flop landed {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Kaverman check-called a bet of 10,000 as the turn landed the {9-Diamonds}.

Kaverman checked, Adams bet 20,000, and Kaverman mucked.

Klein Doubles Then Busts

Level 7 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Bill Klein was all in for 29,000 and Matthias Eibinger, in the cutoff, said he had to call.

Eibinger: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Klein: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Klein was in a dominating spot and turned a pair of nines to lock it up.

The next hand, however, he got {a-}{k-} in against the {a-}{k-} of Cord Garcia, only to see Garcia make a four-card flush with his king.

Rast on Fumes After Bricking

Level 7 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

The blinds checked to Brian Rast on {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and he bet 12,000 into about 32,000. Small blind Ryan Leng put in a raise to 37,000, forcing a fold from Mike Lang. Rast then shoved all in and Leng quickly called off his 128,000.

Leng: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Rast: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Rast was drawing strong but bricked through the {q-Hearts} and {6-Spades}.

"That was the best possible one pair hand you could have," Rast said with a smile. "You had a club and you had an ace."

Green Shows a Six

Level 7 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised the button to 7,000 and both Justin Ligeri and Brian Green called in the blinds.

The flop landed {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} and action checked to Negreanu who bet 6,000. Ligeri called, and Green check-raised to 25,000.

Negreanu folded, as did Ligeri, and Green flashed the {6-Diamonds}.

Aldemir Eliminates Nitsche

Level 7 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche's stack was being counted down when we got to his table, with his {k-Spades}{10-Spades} having been beaten by the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Koray Aldemir on {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Nitsche had 136,000 and Aldemir had that barely covered, so he sent his fellow German to the rail.
