Dyer Doubles Through Peters

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

We saw the all in plaque in front of big blind David Peters, with the call plaque in front of Michael Dyer. The board had come {9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Peters was paying off an all-in bet worth 109,000. Dyer had made trips with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Peters showed what looked like {j-}{8-} for a bluff that got picked off.

Jaffee Over One Million

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jared Jaffee
Jared Jaffee

On the turn with the board reading {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Sam Soverel led out from the big blind for 65,000 after check-raising the flop.

His opponent in the hand was Jared Jaffee on the button, and he responded with a call as the river landed the {K-Clubs}.

Soverel checked, Jaffee bet 128,000 and Soverel folded.

As Jaffee collected the pot, he became the first player in Event #2 to surpass the seven-figure chip club.

Ogus Lays Down a Big One

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Aaron Ogus bet 20,000 from the button on {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Jason Koon made it 48,000 from the small blind. Ogus called and the turn brought a {6-Clubs}. Koon downbet to 44,000 and Ogus made it 125,000. Koon called, bringing a {q-Hearts} river. This time, Koon shoved all in.

Ogus sighed and thought awhile, then tossed in an extension.

"All right, Jason," he said with about 30 seconds left. "You win."

Ogus flicked {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} into the middle.

Adams vs. Negreanu

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Brandon Adams raised the button and Daniel Negreanu called in the big blind.

Both players checked the {7-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop to reveal the {7-Clubs} on the turn. Negreanu bet out 12,000 and Adams called as both players checked the {3-Clubs} on the river.

Negreanu tabled his {A-Spades}{8-Spades}, but it would be Adams' {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} that would earn him the pot.

Eibinger Eliminated

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche checked in the big blind on {3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Matthias Eibinger bet 71,000. Nitsche shoved all in for 163,000, causing Eibinger to groan.

"I need a count," he said.

After getting it, he called with a sigh. Nitsche showed {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} to best Eibinger's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Left with 29,000, Eibinger got it in next hand with {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and went bust when Brandon Adams called out of the big blind and paired nines on the turn with {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.
