Imsirovic Doubles Through Haxton

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 2,000 ante

From the cutoff, Ali Imsirovic raised and Isaac Haxton called on the button.

The flop landed {2-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Imsirovic check-called a bet of 3,500 as the turn fell the {7-Hearts}. Imsirovic checked, Haxton bet 15,000, and Imsirovic called.

The river fell the {3-Hearts} and Imsirovic checked again and Haxton announced he was all in for over 200,000. Imsirovic made the call for his 97,000 and tabled his {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to best Haxton's {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

Discussions Between the Players

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The final nine players have had discussions revolving around an attempted nine-way chop - albeit jokingly - while also more seriously ending play early for Day 1.

With the tournament set as a three-day event, it has been brought to the attention of the ARIA Poker staff. Tournament Director Paul Campbell explained to the players that if play does reach eight-handed play, there will be a more serious discussion about whether or not play should be paused to protect the integrity of the tournament.

Until then, play will continue.
