Chidwick Turns a Chop into a Double

Ali Imsirovic opened to 9,000 from under the gun with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 26,000 on his left holding {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. The action folded back to Imsirovic who four-bet shoved all in and Chidwick quickly called off his last 172,000.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and it looked like it would be a chopped pot. The {j-Spades} landed on the turn to give Chidwick a flush draw and the {7-Spades} completed the board. Chidwick hit his flush to score a big double up, bringing Imsirovic down to one of the shorter stacks.

Both players then checked down the {6-Diamonds} and {J-Spades} on the turn and river, and after Adams tabled his {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, it would be Peters scooping the pot when he tabled his {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for fourth pair.

Eibinger jammed for only around 70,000 and Vogelsang folded after using a time extension and thinking until just a couple of seconds remained.

Stephen Chidwick raised to 9,000 from under the gun with {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Rainer Kempe called on the button with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Ali Imsirovic also came along from the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to see a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Imsirovic began with a check and Chidwick continued for 11,000. Kempe called with the best hand and Imsirovic got out of the way. The {8-Spades} on the turn paired the board and both players checked to the {a-Hearts} on the river.

Chidwick decided against a bluff as he opted to check and Kempe quickly checked back, tabling the best hand with his pocket fives.

After getting his stack devastated in the big flip with Dan Smith, Justin Bonomo let the blinds pass through and then got two shoves through. Then, he defended big blind from a 10,000 open by Keith Tilston under the gun. Bonomo checked the {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flip and Tilston bet 9,000. Bonomo jammed again and Tilston immediately mucked.
