Brewer Wins a Race to Double
Level 6
: 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Joey Weissman raised to 9,000 on the button, which was called by Joe McKeehen in the small blind. Chris Brewer in the big blind then three-bet all in for his stack of 121,000.
Weissman took some time, before four-betting all in, which got a quick fold from McKeehen, to leave the players heads-up, with Brewer at risk.
Chris Brewer: J♦J♣
Joey Weissman: A♦K♥
It was a race for Brewer's tournament life, but as soon as the cards were flipped over, Brewer turned his back and took a bite of his food, and before he could look up the board ran out 8♥6♠7♦8♣10♥ to give him the double up.
