Wantman Holds to Double; Ausmus Flirts With a Spin-Up
Level 14
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Matthew Wantman was all in for 295,000 with Jeremy Ausmus putting him at risk.
Matthew Wantman: 7♠7♣
Jeremy Ausmus: A♣9♦
It was a race with Wantman in front, and when the board ran out K♦8♠3♠5♠J♠ Wantman improved to a flush to secure the double up.
Ausmus was left with just 45,000, but the very next hand he was able to double up with pocket aces against Joe McKeehen's Ace-jack.
Then Ausmus was again all in the very next hand with another monster, pocket queens. But this time Victoria Livschitz had the aces, to send Ausmus to the rail just shy of the money.
