Final $5,000 Single Day Event Wraps Up First Week of PokerGO Cup
The first week of the 2026 PokerGO Cup is wrapping up today in Las Vegas at the PokerGO Studio with Event #4: $5,000 Single Day No-Limit Hold'em. The pricepoint of this event should draw a combination of top poker pros along with the next generation of poker talent.
The trio of $5,000 buy-ins is an increase from the $3,000 PokerGO Showcase that kicked off the series at the start of the week. Next week, the buy-ins will be kicked up another notch with multiple $10,000 events and a $15,000 buy-in to close out the series. This one-day event will play down to a winner in the late stages of the night.
The schedule will take a break for the weekend and will return with Event #5: $10,000 NLH on Monday, March 9. The full schedule for the series can be viewed here.
The action is slated to get underway at 12 p.m. PST today with each player receiving 125,000 chips for a starting stack. Those who are registered on time will pay a registration fee of $100, compared to the $500 for latecomers and reentries.
The levels will be 25 minutes in length throughout and late registration will be closed after eight levels, at approximately 4 p.m.
It's already been an exciting week inside the PokerGO Studio with some new winners and some repeat offenders. Kent Stephens kicked things off with a huge victory in Event #1: $3,000 PokerGO Cup Showcase to more than 10x his live earnings. That was followed up by Filipp Kavin, another first-time winner in Event #2: $5,000 Single Day.
Last night, it was a familiar foe in Justin Saliba who defeated James Carroll in Event #3: $5,000 Single Day.
