The Straddle Has Been Deployed!
The PokerGO team is testing a new feature that allows players to place a live straddle from under the gun voluntarily. It will be in play for the first four levels of the tournament and players wasted little time in getting their degenerate gamble on.
David Coleman placed the live straddle of 2,000 and Jesse Lonis limped in from the small blind. The big blind also tagged along and Coleman checked his option. The flop came A♠5♣2♥ and Lonis led out with a min-bet of 1,000. The big blind folded and Coleman called, albeit it took him 10 seconds.
"It's a 1k bet," Lonis pleaded. "It took you 10 seconds."
"That's what we've come to," Coleman responded. "Complaining about me taking 10 seconds."
The turn was the J♥ and Lonis fired in another bet of 4,000. Coleman promptly folded and Lonis raked in the pot.
