Deadly Turn Card Favors Warren
With the straddle on, Manig Loeser raised to 6,000 on the button and Neil Warren three-bet to 14,000 in the small blind. Andrew Lichtenberger called from the big blind which allowed the straddle to come along as well. Loeser called to complete the action and the flop of Q♦5♣2♦ hit the felt.
The action checked around and the 7♥ landed on the turn. Warren led out with a bet of 20,000 and picked up calls from Lichtenberger and the straddle. The river was the Q♣ and Warren sized up a bet of 80,000. Lichtenberger announced all in, forcing the straddle to fold, but Warren instantly called off the remaining 7,500 chips in front of him.
Lichtenberger turned over A♥Q♥ for trip queens but it was no match for the 7♠7♣ of Warren which made a full house. Lichtenberger was left with just 2,000 chips following the hand and headed to the registration desk shortly after.
