Laskowitz KOs Shorr in Last Hand Before Break

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Just before the third break of the day begun, chip leaders Sam Laskowitz and Shannon Shorr collided in a massive pot that took over half the break to play out.

With the board reading 7AQ49 and around 180,000 in the middle, Shorr bet 115,000 from the big blind, leaving around 500,000 behind, and Laskowitz shoved from under the gun with a covering stack. Shorr, who was playing with most of his small denomination chips already in the rack in anticipation of the break, went deep into the tank.

Three time extensions later Shorr called, showing AQ for top two pair. Laskowitz tabled the nuts with K8 to send Shorr to the rail and significantly extend his lead over the rest of the field.
