Sherif Derias vs. Bill Marczak, Round 2

Bill Marczak raised to 1,300 from the cutoff and Sherif Derias moved all in from the big blind for 4,350. Marczak slightly moved his chips forward and was asked if that was a call.

"I can't fold these cards" replied Marczak as he turned up {J-Spades}{10-Spades}. Derias showed {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, Derias' jacks still leading but Marczak picked up a gutshot straight draw. The turn was the {2-Hearts}, but the river was the {K-Hearts}, making Marczak's straight and eliminating Derias.

Marczak-2, Derias-0.

Kevin Khouiss Eliminated

Kevin Khouiss moved all in for 4,000 and Karsten Kobbing called. Unfortunately for Khouiss, his {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} had run smack into Kobbing's {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}. The flop was {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, the turn was the {J-Spades}, the river was the {4-Hearts} and Khouiss hit the rail.

After the hand, Kobbing was up to 22,000.

Andrew Demetriou Triples Up

Andrew Demetriou mvoed all in for 1,800, the button called all in for 1,700, and the big blind called, having both palyers covered.

Demetriou {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Button {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Big Blind {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The flop was {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}, Demetriou's aces still leading. The turn was the {8-Spades}, the river was the {6-Spades} and Demetriou tripled his stack to 6,000.

Andrew Demetriou is also the current points leader in the Crown Casino's Poker Player of the Year race.
