Vos Takes Time Out

Much to his chagrin, Mark Vos was just given a 5-minute penalty for using his cell phone at the tournament table. An announcement was made reiterating the no-cell-phone rule at the start of the event, and Vos seems to be the first man penalized for breaking that code.

Vos remained near his table until the head of poker operations Jonno Pittock came over and gave him a stern warning. Vos pleaded his case to Pittock, explaining that he and another player had traded 5% of each other, and he was trying find out his phone number, but Pittock was having none of it.

During Vos' penalty, he meandered over to Billy "The Croc" Argyros' table, and moved a big stack of The Croc's chips into the pot, drawing a laugh from the table. The tournament staff was less than impressed though. They levied a 10-minute penalty to Vos, to begin at the expiration of his first penalty. Fortunately for Mark, he has plenty of chips to survive the penalties, which may continue to stack up as the night goes on.
