Kerry Stead - 4th Place
Kerry Stead - 4th Place
Kerry Stead and Peter Aristidou went to war in a battle of the blinds and all the last chips went in on the turn on a board of {2-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Stead tabled {K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for top pair but Aristidou had spiked two pair on the turn with his {Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

The river landed the {5-Spades} and Aristidou takes it down to eliminate Stead in 4th place.

Savage Applying Pressure

Kerry Stead and Ben Savage have tangled in a pot shortly after Jai Kemp's elimination.

Stead made it 4,500 to go from the button, only to find Savage coming along for the ride from the big blind.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades} - Savage checked, Stead opened for 6,500 and Savage called and it was off to the turn which came down {9-Hearts}.

This time, it would be Savage that would fire out, declaring that he was all in. Stead tilted his head from side to side, grimaced and ran his head through his hair, puzzled as to what Savage might have had.

Eventually, after about three minutes in the tank, Stead reluctantly let his hand go.

Stead-y As He Goes

Stead: on a good run
Stead: on a good run
Kerry Stead has managed to take a chunk of change off Ben Savage in a recent hand as play continues on this final table.

Stead raised it up to 3,500 under the gun, only to have Savage make the call from the small blind and it was heads-up to the flop of {4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Savage checked to Stead who opened for 4,500. Savage made the call and checked the turn which produced the {5-Hearts}. Stead reached for a stack and some sundries before shoving a total of 14,000 into the middle.

Savage insta-mucked; Stead flashed pocket aces before raking in the pot.

It's Go Time!

The players are looking to wrap this one up. Some discussions have ensured that fifth place will be adequately compensated while all players have agreed to reduce the length of the levels from 30 minutes to 20 minutes.

We might see some fireworks soon!
