The excitement is heating up at the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic as the PokerNews Cup is set to kick off its 11-event schedule from Nov. 18-23.
The series gets underway tomorrow, Nov. 17 at 20:00 CET with the €120 buy-in Pokernews Cup Opening NLH event featuring a €20,000 guarantee.
As expected, the highlight of the poker festival is the €250 buy-in PokerNews Cup Main Event featuring a generous €200,000 guarantee. The Main Event provides players with plenty of chances to build a huge stack with four opening days from Nov. 18-20. Surviving players will battle it out for the top prize and trophy on Days 2 and 3 taking place on Nov. 21 and 22 respectfully.

To start things off, tomorrow, the first live qualifier kicks off on Nov. 19 at 15:00. This fast-paced satellite features 15-minute blind levels along with a 5,000 chip starting stack. This tournament provides an excellent path to the Main Event costing just €30 and is guaranteed to award at least eight seats to the Main Event.
Tomorrow, Nov. 20 at 13:00 CET, is the second opportunity for our readers to win a seat to the Main Event via a live satellite for the slightly higher cost of €35. This tournament features a similar structure to the first one, and also guarantees to reward at least eight seats to the Main Event.
The absolute last chance for players to qualify into the PokerNews Cup Main Event via a €40 buy-in live qualifier taking place on Nov. 21 at 11:00 CET. This tournament has a slightly faster structure than the previous two with 10 minute blind levels, and guarantees to award at least five guaranteed seats to our much anticipated Main Event.
The long-anticipated PokerNews Cup is about to kick off the first of its four opening days in 30 minutes at King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. It is expected that at least 100 players will pony up the €250 buy-in for the event with the potential of many more re-entering due to late registration remaining open during the first 10 blind levels.
The PokerNews Cup Main Event is one of the best low buy-in tournaments of the year due to its huge €200,000 prize pool. In addition to today, Day 1b will take place on Nov. 20 at 17:00 CET, Day 1c begins on Nov. 21 at 14:00 CET, and the turbo-charged Day 1d commences on Nov. 21 at 21:00 CET.
Re-entries are available each day, with players that survive any of the opening days to regroup for Day 2 on Nov. 22 at 14:00. The winner of the PokerNews Cup Main Event will be crowned at the conclusion of Day 3 on Nov. 23.
The last PokerNews Cup Main Event attracted 1,550 players around the world back in February 2015 - also at King's Casino. It was Germany's Christian Krupp navigating his way through the field to win the coveted trophy as well as the top prize of €57,473.

The charismatic Lewis Murray just busted from the tournament when he shoved his remaining 5,000 with to get called by the big blind with . To make matters worse for Murray, a appeared on the board.
We asked Murray if he was going to reenter tomorrow when he was wishing us good-night. He said, "It's going to be Friday night, and Prague is calling." So while it doesn't look like we will see more of Murray in the PokerNews Cup, he did say to look him up if we ever hit the land down-under.
A total of 98 entrants ponied up the €250 buy-in to the PokerNews Cup Main Event with 19 players surviving until the end of the day. Many more are expected on hand during the three remaining opening days taking place on Nov. 20 and Nov. 21 to compete for a share of at least €200,000 guaranteed prize pool .
Currently it is Lithuania's Rytas Staniukynas leading the way ending the day with 446,000 chips. Fellow Lithuanian Tomas Steponkus sits in second place after the action on Day 1A with 339,500 chips.
The day started off in a unique fashion with yesterday's PokerNews Cup Opening Event winner Timothy Weltner being the first player to bust out of the tournament. He was among the 12 players to re-enter today's event and now is sitting in decent shape with 102,500 chips.
Among the exits today were some familiar faces including "Homer Simpson", who was part of the five-way deal in yesterday's event and Australia's Lewis Murray who cashed yesterday after finishing in 17th place. While the Aussie poker player shared with us that he was using poker to help finance his travels around Europe, he appeared to be leaving Rozvadov to head to Prague.
"It's going to be Friday night, and Prague is calling," stated Murray.
Also surviving today are Russian film director Nikolay Karman with 70,000 chips and his wife and Russian film producer Anna Yamshchikova with 90,000 chips. Additionally Germany's Elena Litvinyuk will head to day two with a healthy third-place chip stack of 284,000 chips, while charismatic "Janja" busted out of the tournament just before the day ended.
The PokerNews Cup Main Event continues its play tomorrow, Nov. 20 at 17:00 CET. Also on the schedule tomorrow is a €35 buy-in Main Event Mega Satellite awarding at least eight guaranteed seats at 13:00 CET along with the €100 buy-in PokerNews Pot Limit Omaha 1 X Rebuy or AO side event with a €10,000 Euro guarantee at 16:00 CET.
