Everyone Loves a Chop

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Aris Christodoulis
Aris Christodoulis

It could have been a big pot if players had something different but instead a big pot was chopped up.

Hristo Bogdanov opened from the cutoff for 3,500. Dimitrios Chatziriotis three-bet to 10,000 from the button and Aris Christodoulis four-bet to 25,000. Bogdanov folded and Chatziriotis jammed for around 45,000.

Christodoulis made the quick call and turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Chatziriotis turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and unless something funky happened it was going to be a chop.

The {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} did present runner-runner flush possibilities but the {10-Hearts} on the turn quickly took away that potential drama to guarantee a chop for both players. The {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and the dealer split up the pot.

Stryvakis Loses to a Full House

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Polykarpos Stryvakis
Polykarpos Stryvakis

Polykarpos Stryvakis has just left the poker room after he was felted by Dritan Korimani.

The duo were all-in on the flop in what appeared to be a 80,000 pot with Stryvakis holding {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Korimani holding {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on a {9-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} board. Stryvakis was drawing to just a jack after the {4-Hearts} came on the turn.

No jack came as instead it was the {4-Clubs} to complete the board on the river and Korimani scooped up a big pot at the expense of the Fenix Casino Poker Room Manager.

Meanwhile, Miroslav Gavrilov has been noticed in his seat as a new entry to Day 1c.

Spyridis Doubles

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player opened to 2,000 before Dimosthenis Spyridis made it 4,200 from the small blind before Georgios Gkampintasvili four-bet to 12,000 from the big blind.

The original opener folded and Spyridis called.

Spiridis jammed for about 30,000 after the {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} came on the flop and got a call from Gkampintasvili.

Dimosthenis Spyridis: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Georgios Gkampintasvili: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Gkampintasvili needed a pair of runners to improve over the flush held by Spyridis. The {9-Spades} on the turn keep him alive for the full house. However, the {10-Clubs} on the river wasn't one of the cards he needed and the dealer pushed the pot to Spyridis.

Two More Out, One Back In

Stryvakis Doubles

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Polykarpos Stryvakis
Polykarpos Stryvakis

Polykarpos Stryvakis three-bet jammed about 20,000 into the button raise of Emil Trenkov. Trenkov turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} after he called and was ahead of the {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} turned over by Stryvakis.

The {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs} board was kind to Stryvakis as it gave him a straight and a double up.

Meanwhile, Savvas Dirchalidis was eliminated at another table at around the same time before reentering.

Michailidis out and Reenters

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Dimitrios Michailidis open-jammed for 11,800 with {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} from middle position and was called by Dimitrios Dimitros with {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} from the big blind.

The board ran out {4-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} to give Dimitros the nut flush. After the hand, Michailidis reentered the Day 1c. field.

Dealers are now also getting set-up for the turbo-charged Day 1d that begins at 7 p.m. EEST.

Konstantin Rashkov was eliminated just before the blinds went up. Thomas Lamatsch closed one of the tables after it was apparent Rashkov would not reenter and the action is down to four tables.

Just after the table was closed, Dimosthenis Spyridis decided to come back into the action for his second bullet.
