Mateos Doubles Twice

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After dropping a big pot to Christian Harder where Harder fired three streets on a {3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} runout, Damien Steel opened for a raise and called for 100,000 total when Adrian Mateos shoved in the big blind.

Mateos: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Steel: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

The board ran out dead for both players and Mateos doubled.

The next hand, Mateos jammed in the small blind for 220,000, and big blind Marcin Kapkowski woke up with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and called. Mateos had live cards with {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and found help when {5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flopped to give him a straight draw. No waiting: the {k-Spades} hit the turn to lock in another double for the Spaniard.

Josephy: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Weinman was unable to catch up, sending him to the rail.

Remarkable Hand Ends in Cabeca's Favor

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

From early position, Byron Kaverman raised to 27,000 with 281,000 behind. It were just three chips in the middle, and they were so neatly stacked that Nick Maimone in the small blind oversaw it. Maimone thought he was open raising and placed 41,000 in the middle. Big blind Pedro Cabeca missed Maimone's accidental raise, and called for 27,000. It was then ruled that Maimone had raised and needed to make it 42,000. Cabeca called again, and so did Kaverman with a suspicious smirk on his face.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades} and Maimone bet 75,000. Cabeca called instantly, Kaverman gave up. Yhe {7-Clubs} hit the turn and Maimone checked. Pedro Cabeca bet 175,000 and Maimone folded.

Maimone was down to 1,625,000 after that hand, but is now up to over 2 million again as he's using the MyStack App and just updates his count to 2,050,000.

Francisco Benitez Eliminated

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Francisco Benitez
Francisco Benitez

Michael Bartholomew was first to act and raised to 27,000 under the gun with about 250,000 or so behind. His neighbor Francisco Benitez shoved for 249,000 total and Allon Allison seemed interested. He asked for a count and contemplated what to do for a bit before he flat called. Action folded back around to Bartholomew and he tanked for some time before he folded.

Francisco Benitez: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Allon Allison: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

Bartholomew celebrated his laydown, telling the table he had thrown away queens. "You shove and I snap call!" he told Allison.

Nick Maimone came over and Bartholomew told him about the queens while the {2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop appeared. The {A-Hearts} followed soon after and the {6-Clubs} completed the board. It could've been set over set, but it ended with just Francisco Benitez hitting the rail.

Riess Coolers Mateos

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Ryan Riess defended his big blind from an Adrian Mateos under-the-gun open. The flop came {5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Riess checked. Mateos bet 26,000 and Riess came back with 82,000. Mateos called and both checked the {9-Clubs} turn to see a {7-Hearts} river. Riess though awhile and bet 108,000. Mateos quickly called but his {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flush was beaten by {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.
