Lakemeier Runs Out of Chips

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jens Lakemeier
Jens Lakemeier

The cards of Jens Lakemeier from under the gun were already rushed into the muck while Christopher Kruk in the big blind raked in the pot. Kruk's {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} were still tabled and the board showed {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for trips.

"Did you have a gutshot again," Sam Grafton asked from one seat over. "No, I had trips," Kruk replied while Parker Talbot added "that was a nice run out." Apparently, Lakemeier had ace-king and his top two pair were no good.

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Soon after he shoved for around 350,000 from the cutoff and Franz Ditz looked him up from the button.

Nicolas Chouity: {A-Spades}{6-Spades}
Franz Ditz: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Despite picking up additional outs on the board {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{K-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Chouity failed top get there and was eliminated in 30th place.

Michalak Jams Up Stack; Patel takes from Weis

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Joaquin Walter raised and picked up three callers in Jakub Michalak, Christopher Kruk on the button and Jens Lakemeier in the small blind. On the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, Michalak bet 80,000 and was called by Kruk and Lakemeier before the {10-Spades} fell on the turn.

The action checked to Michalak and his shove for 431,000 forced folds, Kruk used one time bank before folding.

Emil Patel left Oliver Weis short-stacked. The former checked the heads-up turn of {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} out of the big blind and Weis bet 125,000 from the cutoff, Patel called. After the {8-Diamonds} river, Patel checked once more and Weis bet 270,000 with about as many chips behind. Patel called and Weis sheepishly turned over {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a bluff, while Patel claimed the pot with {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for top pair.

From the hijack, Stefan Schillhabel opened to 185,000, leaving himself just 36,000 behind. His neighbor Markus Durnegger called from the button. Big blind Ihar Soika, who won this event back in 2014 earning €747,200 after beating Jason Mercier heads up, tanked for a bit, used one of his time banks, and moved in for 718,000. Schillhabel called, Durnegger folded after having received a count.

Stefan Schillhabel: {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Ihar Soika: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The flop of {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} gave Schillhabel some hope and that only increased with the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. The {K-Hearts} on the river completed his flush and Soika's rivered set went face down into the muck.

Reard Wins Flip Against Cody

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jake Cody raised to 46,000 from the cutoff and Alexandre Reard moved all in for 377,000 in the big blind, which the PokerStars Team Pro called.

Alexandre Reard: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Jake Cody: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

Cody took the lead on the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop but Reard spiked a set on the {10-Hearts} turn. Only a queen would help Cody to avoid a setback, but instead the blank {2-Diamonds} fell on the river to let Reard double.
