D'Auteuil Counterfeited; Busts A Second Time

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Earlier today, Philippe D'Auteuil's PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event run came to an end after four days. The Canadian finished in 55th place, resulting in a payday of €22,680.

D'Auteuil parlayed nearly half of that amount to play in the High Roller but found himself on the rail again shortly after. It was a rather brutal beat that did D'Auteuil in.

Holding {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, the Canadian got it in on a {5-Clubs}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades} turn for 47,000 total. Joaquin Walter gave it some thought before making the call with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, putting D'Auteuil in a fantastic spot to double big. However, the {J-Diamonds} on the river counterfeited D'Auteuil's two pair. Walter slammed the table in excitement, while D'Auteuil busted for the second time this day.
