Shuvanov needed to spike an eight or four to survive. The on the turn didn't help him but the on the river was what he needed. With the extra money involved, Shuvanov moved up to over 100,000.
Steve O'Dwyer opened on the button and Julian Stuer three-bet in the small blind to 6,600. O'Dwyer came back with 13,000, and Stuer called. The flop came , and Stuer led out for 5,100. O'Dwyer called without much thought. On the turn, Stuer checked and called 11,000. The German then checked the and O'Dwyer wasted little time before pushing all in. It was 18,400, and Stuer called before his timer ran down.

The bettor folded, a player on the button called, and the small blind mucked. On the river, Billard thought until he had a few seconds left and shoved all in. On the turn, the board read and three players were active. After Alex Komaromi had checked, a player bet 2,000 into a pot of 10,500. Mike Watson made it 10,000 on the button, Komaromi time-bank shoved 29,300 from the small blind, and the third player folded.
